Sore Throat Remedy from the Kitchen – Lemon Ginger Honey

A hot, steamy mug of ginger and lemon starts to warm up your insides and helps clear the sinuses. The honey adds great flavor and together with the ginger helps soothe that scratchy throat. And somehow your spirits are lifted just a little when someone prepares a soothing tonic for you.

To prepare for the inevitable tickly throat, we keep a batch of lemon ginger honey in the cupboard. When it’s needed, we mix the following:

  • 1 Tbsp. of lemon ginger infused honey

  • 1 Tbsp. of lemon juice

  • 1 cup of hot water

Let steep in a tall mug for 2 minutes then sip slowly.
