You can use this homemade seasoning any time. Italian seasoning is the blend of ground herbs like basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, sage, or coriander. There is a possibility of variation than may vary because of the brands and many of them will have vague non- specific ingredients.

This is a American creation, dry herbs are not so common in Italy itself. Salamoia Bolognese consist of rosemary, sage, garlic, salt and black pepper.

you can use Italian seasoning in pasta, pizza sauce, soups, stew and spaghetti sauce. I also use it on roasted veggies, BBQ chicken, Greek salad dressing or marinades, garlic toast, potatoes, baked pita chips, homemade croutons and sometimes even popcorn. I love making popcorn at home as I am a binge watcher.

It is thought that Italian seasoning was invented in America, not in Italy. somehow it is correct. By the fact Italian seasoning is used world wide except in Italy. In this way it is similar to the fact that the curry powder in that Indian living in India do not use curry powder despite the fact that it is a blend/ mixture of Indian spices.

Italian seasoning is a blend of the herbs that show up in many Italian dishes. These herbs include oregano, basil, and marjoram. While these herbs are readily available in Italy, they were not always easy to find in America. As a result, early Italian immigrants needed a way to add their preferred flavors to dishes. Italian seasoning provided exactly that. While its components have become much easier to find in recent years, it still provides an easy way to add multiple herbs to your dishes in one step.


RECIPE FOR ITALIAN SEASONING

ITALIAN HERB SEASONING

Great for pasta, chicken, pork, garlic toast, tomato dishes, croutons and even popcorn. The preparation time of Italian herb seasoning is 5 mins. and total time for the preparation of Italian herb seasoning is also 5 mins.


INGREDIENTS:
  • Take 4 ½ table spoon dried basil

  • Then take 3 table spoon marjoram

  • Then take 3 table spoon dried parsley

  • 3 table spoon dried oregano

  • 1 1/2 table spoon garlic powder

  • 1 1/2 table spoon onion flakes

  • 1 ½ teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 ½ teaspoon rubbed sage

  • 1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper.


INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.

  2. Then store it in an airtight jar.

  3. Use it within 6-12 months.
